They are supposed to be hidden. They are a part of your profile.

Why would you try to delete them when you don't know what they are?

Edit: to clarify, you do NOT want to delete these files, even if you could.

He would try to delete them because they're obviously not Documents that you created. They are obviously extraneous files they do not belong in that directory. Based on that almost everyone I know would assume junk.

Most users would never see the files (they are normally hidden) therefore one "assumes" if someone modified the system to view them they would also take the time to find out what they were.

Alright I understand, I shouldn't try to delete them. (it was one of those nights)

Is there any way to hide them, I know its not so important, but annoying to look at
heh

PS- I think they showed up when I migrated files from XP to 7 with the easy transfer wizard (not sure about that though)

Re: [WIN7] What are these files?

That isn't your "My Documents" folder. It is the root of your profile, which includes "My Documents" underneath it.

OK, I checked off "show hidden files" and they are now hidden. Thank You

Also- Kramer,
I understand what you are saying, I guess there are some things I still need to get used to in 7 as I never had that before, always just "my documents"

If you do a little research, the general consensus of opinion is to NOT delete them. They are normally hidden for a reason. Kramer See Profile's post explained why they are exactly where they should be.

Why would someone just "assume junk" and willy nilly delete when they have no idea what it is?

Hence the reason why people show up here with so many odd problems.
