UPnP Broken?
UPnP has "recently" stopped working in XP64 and I can't get it function anymore. It was always working normally with Avira 9 but no more. I tried checking Avira's Firewall settings and it looks normal. I tried switching from "Medium" to "Low" but it made no difference? UPnP Framework service is enabled with SSDP enabled. I wonder if a new firewall engine update was installed recently and changed something? I have also confirmed that this issue is now present on my other PC that runs Avira 9 PSS. UPnP was also working recently on that PC too. Can anyone else verify UPnP is no longer working correctly with Avira 9 Premium Security Suite?

After re-thinking how UPnP was also not functioning correctly on my other networked PC, I thought perhaps it had something to do with my router? I don't know why but it turns out UPnP was not working correctly on my router. Although it was ENABLED... it didn't seem to be discoverable in XP32 or XP64 even with Avira firewall disabled. So I just re-ENABLED UPnP again and clicked save in my routers setup page and sure enough, I've got UPnP working again. I guess after about 60+ days on continuous router uptime a reboot was required on this unit. It's been so rock solid I never thought it was a hardware issue.

•Cisco RVS4000
•LimeWire, uTorrent, Windows Live! Messenger...ect.
Basically used for the quick auto discovery and configuration of ports without the need to manually forward specific ports for specific programs.
