Normally when someone asks a question like this you would normally get a whole bunch of people that never fudge on anything tell you "no way, no can do".

This post has received some of the most reasonable replies to something like this I have seen in a very long time.

While M$ may never say it publicly they could care less about the occasional situations like you have described. Now if the guy is buying them by the pallet full and reselling them yes M$ would get upset. But they would not go after the buyers they would go after the illegal sales agent.
