Throttling on weekends?

Hello... does anyone know if Bells throttles the TekSavvy lines on weekends, or is it only weekdays?

Ok thanks... I was pulling in 500kb/s on Bittorrent and thought I was lucky. For whatever reason, I was thinking the throttling was in effect all weekend long.

Apparently, residential users don't use the internet on weekends until 16:30.

Typical ISP usage is much lower on weekends anyways - as much as 30% based on the various ISP data I see. Weekday usage is much higher - our busiest times are Tuesday evenings for example. I believe this is due to the business activity that occurs during the week vs weekend - at least that's the reason I can come up with.

It's not you. The dslr universal translator sometimes short-circuits.

Not having ever seen usage data justifying current throttling practice - I must take your word for it. FWIW, my ISP never had a problem with it.

Hmm that's strange. When I was using 3Web cable, the slowest/most congested times were Saturday and Sunday evenings. Maybe people in my neighbourhood are out of the norm.

Trust me - I"m not justifying throttling I'm just stating that typical ISP usage is lower on weekends, that's all. Every ISP's model is a bit different - the ISP's total usage from several providers that I look at is all ISP's who sell a lot of business services .... so if the ISP doesn't sell much in that line (as 3web would fall into) then their usage would be quite different.

I seem to get throttled 24/7 or maybe it's just my connection.
