[Help Me] DI-524 Rev. B signal lose while gaming

Router: DI-524
H/W: REV B.
Firmware: V2.03

Ok so every weekend the kids come home from school and the son uses his laptop for gaming over wireless. Once this happens all wireless signal strength goes down. It's not a matter of internet speed since downloading doesn't kill the signal. ONLY gaming takes down the signal strength when the kids are on it over the weekend.

Any ideas of fixing this? or is the router just falling flat on it's face?

I was going to flash the updated firmware but I can only do it over wireless and I am afraid that it will wipe out the PPPoE password.

Southampton, PA		 NEVER upgrade firmware over wireless. You are inviting disaster in the form of a bricked router.
