Femtocell...What for?

Why would anybody purchase a femtocell for their WiMAX service. Wouldn't that mean you'd have to keep a cable or dsl account going for the backhaul? Kind of defeats the purpose of getting home service with decent speeds and price. Personally, I can't understand the current push for femtocell for WiMax or 3G. "Here, buy our femtocell unit and pay us an extra $30/mth after paying a hundred bucks for the device and you can get great indoor reception". No Thanks!

I think Karl meant picocell. There's a BIG difference but it's somewhat easy to get the nomenclature confused.

Picocells would help indoor coverage lots.
