| Your ideal heroic 5-man class comp!
Another fun thread I thought I would start while bored at work.
What is your favorite 5 man combination of classes for running heroics? There is no correct answer as they all work, but your favorite 5. I'll go first.
Tank: Prot Paladin Healer: Disc Priest DPS1: Warlock spec doesn't matter DPS2: Unholy DK DPS3: Mage ..
So you have a paladin for your blessing of choice, disc for fort, warlock for soulstone, summons incase something happens, and candy, a mage for a table and portals after the heroic if you're doing a chain run, it cuts down on time. I like unholy DK's too, because their AoE DPS is insane in heroics, and of course the 13% magic damage to mages/lock.. so you have 3 DPS that can all AoE very well in situations and all have very hard hitting single target DPS. Prot paladin really seems like the best 5-man heroic tank, and disc priests are solid healers, if they are bored they can throw in some smites, or give PI to a caster.

Your turn! |

| reply to XanCore This is hands down the baddest ass group comp for a 5man heroic...
Pally Tank Blood DK Fury Warrior Enhance Shaman Tree
2 weeks back we cleared heroic UK in 11 minutes flat. That's about as fast as you can do that instance.
Our Pally tank is a beast, and was just pulling everything in sight. |

| reply to XanCore ^^ Very nice cleave setup.
The setup I mentioned earlier cleared heroics super fast too, probably about on par with that... maybe a little more, a super geared mage/destro combo just destroys single targets, and all 3 together AoEing is just scary. |

Also Xan, if the paladin is spec'd into HotC, then everyone is getting 3% (iirc) increased critical strike chance against his targets.
Another ideal comp

| reply to Archivis This reminds me when LK was in testing phase and people were running Ramps and BF with all DK. Back then blood aura would stack. You get 5 blood DKs and go to town.
Personally, I don't run heroics all that much. If we talk fastest clear then class doesn't matter, get any 5 in BiS and you're good to go. (I think my personal record on Loken with no bloodlust is 35 seconds. Our gear was far from BiS too)
But if we talk people who don't outgear given instance I'd take an aoe tank, healer with hots, two hybrid dps' (tank, heal) and one pure dps capable of cc, probably a mage. -- "In a fight between you and the world, bet on the world." - Franz Kafka |

1 edit | reply to XanCore Yea, atm you cant go wrong with a cleave melee group in Heroics. The damage output is just nutz. Just hafta have a good paladin druid or frost dk tank (i say this cause they have the best aoe aggro setup). A good caster group would be- Tank- Paladin Dps- Arc Mage Dps- Dest Lock Dps- Ele sham Healer- Priest/druid
Ive ran this comp with my guild before and breezed through any heroic in 20m or less. |

| reply to GemSnake My favorite was this morning (before work) in H DTK (h daily) I was on my prot warrior (4900 GS for those who care 42k hp 26.8k armor 55% avoidance+18% block) and the shaman healer says at the end, "I should have went dps for this because I didn't even have to heal you. | reply to JesusBeamz Dont get me wrong, im like spriest (i am one) but i lack in heroics....the damn npc's are dead before i can really dot one up...heh bosses are the only things where we can get in a full rotation, and even then with a good group your only lookin at like 30-40s fight... |

| reply to XanCore Actually, i was gonna say that. Our guild tree mentioned several all druid runs she's made. Sounds op.
But 5 pally's would work quite well too.
I wonder if someone has tried an all druid raid? No other class gives you four distinct options like that. Tank, melee dps, ranged, and heals.
I'm levelling a druid once my daughter gets hers transfered (mark that on my to do list). |
