| Any ideas for wall-mounting the 2Wire RG?
In my basement I have a wall where my patch panel, 110-block, switches, routers, etc are nicely wall mounted. And along comes this jumbo desktop 2Wire RG with no wall-mount holes.
Anyone come up with a decent way of mounting it? I have some ideas myself, but thought I'd ask before I make the Home Depot trip. My search for prior posts was fruitless.
Thanks.
P.S. Got U-verse installed yesterday -- love it! |

1 edit | you have to take off two of the rubber feet
front of the unit the left foot, then go diagonal to the other foot
Mine is seen mounted here: »Half finished Whole Home structured re-wire
albiet technically upside-down wall mount wise, but what can you do when it is only studs to attach to :P |

| reply to leahcimp3 Cool, good idea! I will try that. Nice setup!
BTW, I see you're in GA and you mentioned in that thread you couldn't get VoIP. They just rolled it out in my area (Dunwoody) in the last several weeks. They didn't install it yesterday because of an administrative snafu, but they're coming out next week to do it. |

1 edit | I did that post about 2 months ago... I will get the VoIP once they offer self install here since my install was in July (VoIP became available here in October) I personally don't want to have to deal with the call game trying to get them to waive the fee when all I have to do is plug in a phone cord. |

It's more than that, they bring you out a UPS specially tailored for the RG, and they also had to do some provisioning work.
If I were you I would not wait for self install. Who knows when that is coming.
I think if you call them and explain that Voice was not available when you ordered, they'd waive the fee. That's what they did for me. |

| Well I don't have a land line at the moment, so it would be easy to provision a new number, (no porting issues) and from what I see, the self install looks simple. They UPS you the UPS and you hook it up...
But I am still on the fence on if I need a land line or not. Would most likely only use it for local 911 (Live in a city with own Police. Calling on a cellphone stinks since you have to ask to be transfered and wait for the transfer) |
