Think what you will of MLSE, but they put on a very classy ceremony, I thought, including Johnny Bower reciting "In Flanders Field"

| Thanks DKS
So it looks like a Canadian Military uniform.
Does the Prince of Wales have some military significance in the Canadian Armed forces? (I know HRH does)

We should probably start a separate thread if we're going to get into protocol, but in a nutshell the Queen is styled Her Majesty, not HRH. She is most definitely above the GG, and constitutionally the command-in-chief of is vested in the Queen. However, the Governor General acts as Commander in Chief by virtue of the Letters Patent Constituting the Office of the Governor General of Canada. |

There wasn't even an announcement in my office building today, so some folks didn't have any idea it was 11am until the 4 CF-18s flew over and shook the windows (but they didn't do the pull up of the missing man formation for some reason). I believe it was Micheal Potter's Spitfire that was buzzing downtown a short time later too. -- The thoughts expressed in the above post are those of the poster, and can only be attributed to his state of mind at the time of posting.
