On my wall (behind my computer) is something Jeff sent me last year - along with a dozen Texas bagels 
It is an emu 
And it says "spot check - yip you're still there at your computer"!!
..and when I went thru my 1st hurricane here...he was there.
He was on the phone..walking me thru it. |

When I was told about Jeff's passing, my heart began to pound in my chest. I really couldn't fully take it in...
I remember Jeff from very early on quite a few years back. He was always helpful to me and we would sometimes "chat" via IM's. Then, when I was diagnosed with cancer, Jeff was right there -- sending me helpful information & links. Soon we had spoken on the telephone a few times and Jeff was very supportive of me during that time. He didn't have to do that -- but he did. I'll never forget that act of kindness and compassion.
Jeff wore many hats here as a family member of our community, he was also a host for our blades, and Treasurer for TDPH. He will be missed and our hearts are very heavy with loss.
My sincerest condolences are extended to Jeff's wife & family. Please know that we send our collective strength to you.
We love & miss you, Jeff.

I have been in shock for days since I heard about Jeff's leaving this physical world. Jeff was so sweet and helpful when I first joined Team Discovery. I will miss him and send prayers out to his family and friends. I will miss him and always remember his contributions to this group.
Go with God, sweet Jeff, and those that are family and friends, do not cry over his passing and celebrate the love that he gave to each and everyone of you.

Jeff befriended me many years ago, not just becoming a buddy and requesting my help posting birthday threads, but inviting me to become a member of the PH Board.
His kindness, considerable contributions and generous time on our behalf will long be remembered.
May the outpouring of these condolences bring some small measure of comfort to his bereaved family at this difficult time.

In this battleground we call Life there are Warriors of the highest order who dedicate their endeavors to the service of others. Selflessness and compassion, not learned but rather natural, and expressed to the fullest without reservation is a virtue of this type of Warrior.
Jeff Martin, our Warrior, has fallen on the field of battle. We grieve this great lose and our sadness is deepen as we join his family in remembrance of his Life. But in this remembrance we find an uplifting Spirit which he so exemplified and thus also we are filled with a of sense joyful appreciation of being a part of his Life.
Within our hearts and thoughts, Jeff shall live on forever and forever shall he inspire us to greater endeavors. Let us continue to celebrate his Life by living ours to the fullest. Crunch on this beautiful family of friends. Jeff cheers us on.

I'm sooo sorry to hear this...
Jeff was a wonderful, dedicated and helpful person.. thank you for everything Jeff! All of us are going to miss your posts which were always marked by that beautiful Cheetah avatar next to them!

Wow. Quite an unexpected bit of news.
I'm sorry that I've not been nearly as active with Team Discovery. That's the only reason my condolences are so late in coming. My thoughts go out to Jeff's family and all the people he has befriended. |
