 | It definitely wasn't intended to be a recommendation of the service offered. It was simply one of the first links that Google spat back at me when I did a quick search. |

| reply to h8rogers Yes, I got the invite some time back. Been using it for a few weeks now. I am very happy with it. Speeds are great, near what I would get with my standard connection. Most stuff thinks I am in another state more than 1000 miles away, giving me funny weather sometimes and weird "localized content".
It's a great product to get for free, that's for sure. According to their website, it will be free for Diamond level subscriptions until June, 2010 making it very easy to say yes when I do have to decide if I want to pay for it or not. -- If we do not succeed, then we run the risk of failure - J. | reply to RickPop I am still hoping it turns into added value for the Diamond tier folks since I am keeping that. If not I will be looking into the cheaper alternatives. Its a jungle out there and you never know what the shady looking character huddled over his laptop in the back of starbucks is doing. |

 | reply to h8rogers I like the VyprVPN service. A few drops when testing on iPhone but no issues on PC. Traveling this weekend so the added level of security will be appreciated.

 | reply to h8rogers I'm a Giganews Diamond customer and have been using the VyprVPN since it was offered it to me. Though I wish there were a more specific tutorial for how to configure uTorrent or my firewall to play nice with it. From as best as I can figure, uTorrent seems to really like VyprVPN while seeding, but when trying to download it seems to hate VyprVPN.
Otherwise, this VyprVPN is a nice addition to Diamond accounts (I do like how it protects the IP address), but I don't believe I would want to pay $14.99 to continue with it once the trial/beta period expires in June, unless there were some major advancements in it's compatibility with uTorrent, or at least more information that would be helpful. |

I don't think there is really any identity protection. You are just using an IP provided by VyprVPN, they will still have to give up your identity if presented with a legal request for it. |

 | reply to DiamondUser I would agree with Ajax there. Its more a nice protection against sniffers and such on the local network. Regardless of the encryption. Your IP will resolve to VyprVPN and as Ajax stated I would assume they would immediately give up any info related to it upon legal request. Which would bring them back to your Giganews account, etc. |

We don't even bill you directly, so if the FBI kicks in our doors, they'll get a generic username and an email address. If you create a throw away email address and Paypal account, it would be very, very difficult to track you down.
Of course, to bear the burden for a client like that, you tend to act very quickly and harshly on ANY violation. If I receive a DMCA notice, I will immediately cancel the VPN account, refund that month's service, and then blacklist the email address from signing back up. -- trafficcloak.com - pptp/sstp vpn services |

MattAll noise, no signal.Premium join:2003-07-20 Jamestown, NC kudos:12 | We would have to receive a DMCA notice or some other alert from a law enforcement agency. If we receive them, we don't ask questions, we will just terminate the account it was tied to. -- trafficcloak.com - pptp/sstp vpn services |

 | reply to h8rogers Im not having any problems with Utorrent and download speeds. With my testing it seems to be compatible with Utorrent.
I was traveling in south america and did so live speed tests. No noticeable slow down from Chile to Philadelphia but a little bit of a slow down from Chile to Europe.
here are the results I got along with a youtube video »usenetreviewz.com/vyprvpn-review/ |

 | reply to h8rogers Hi, I signed up to Giganews last night and technically I'm on their 14 day trial before my actual membership goes full speed but is that reason enough to restrict the VyprVPN from working? I followed the instructions on their site but my iPhone and my computer both reject the authentication. |
|
 | Yes, I believe Giganews restricts the free trial period to Usenet-only. It would be great if they included the VPN service in the trial for testing. As soon as the 14 day trial period ends or if you choose to switch to a paid account early, VyprVPN will be accessible.
