Re: Good news for cellphone & laptop batteries Battery Technology is an intense research & development field atm for obvious reasons. Anyone who can make smaller, lighter, cheaper, more powerful, safer, and environmentally friendlier batteries is going to reap economic rewards.
Batteries are the only thing holding back electric transport; and with electric transport you can save petroleum for what it is good for: Chemicals, plastics, etc and stop burning it as a fuel. This in turn leads to obvious environmental and quality of life improvements for us.
We're waiting on the batteries of the future. This development is another advancement. +1!
