Same here. While it works decently in most areas of SoCal, many other parts of the country needs to be upgraded.

SoCal seems to have wonderful AT&T 3G coverage. I think that was one of the first areas to get the 850Mhz overlay wasn't it?

Yes - and to that extent, I'm in one of the areas of SoCal that first had the 850MHz 3g overlay.

That's great news for areas (like mine) that are woefully overloaded and haven't gotten the 850Mhz overlay yet. Hopefully AT&T can get that rolled out quickly to other areas.

If I'm not mistaken, many parts of NC do not have an 850MHz license (e.g. Raleigh).
