BTW when I had Mmode from AT&T I asked to have them block all our phone from going online, we'd get the error which is normal but we NEVER got charged. |

| I have the option on my phone itself to block data services. I can still send txt and picture messages, but trying to open any of the online services shows as blocked. I've never been hit with the fee.
So I assume the method that does get you hit is when you have VZ block data from their end.

| We did the same thing when we noticed some (small) data charges on our new phones. It turns out my mother-in-law (who is on our plan) kept hitting the wrong keys and would go online. So now she can't go online even if she wanted to. Now, if new data charges show up, we'll know they're bogus.

I called and went to the store twice when my doughters new phone got $300 data charged the first week. But they never pointed that out until I got really upset and threaten to open a case with BBB, etc. Phone companies and Banks are licensed crookes. |
