We had a $1.99 charge

One day while examining our bill, we noticed a $1.99 charge. Not for data services, but for a phone's warranty. Now, we had never put a warranty on any of our phones, so this was a bit odd. We called up Verizon Wireless and it turned out that this charge was on there for over a year. We usually look at our bills closely, so I have no clue how we missed this (beyond that they seem to go out of their way to make bills hard to read). They refused to refund the past charges, but stopped the future warranty charges. Still, we were angry that they charged us $30 for warranty service that we never requested.
