Screw Fairpoint,
I tried to get an existing line that was suspended for the winter turned on with unFairPoint, it took 2 months!
I called GWI to have a suspended line turned back on, it took two MINUTES.
I'm pulling my Fairpoint line at work next year and switching it to GWI for both phone and internet.
I say again, Screw Fairpoint!

GWI files complaint against FairPoint
Utility regulators in Maine are being asked by a Biddeford-based phone and Internet company to review FairPoint Communications' business practices.
In a petition to the Public Utilities Commission, Great Works Internet says FairPoint is overbilling for use of its lines and is threatening to disconnect some of its customers. Maine's public advocate has filed a motion to intervene on Great Works' behalf.
