Re: [360] Modded consoles get banned as new COD ships I still have to laugh at the pirates in the articles and over the internet saying that they may not buy a replacement 360 in the future. Oh no, Microsoft lost out on a customer that wasn't paying for their product anyways! Take that Microsoft, yeah! |

Why do you think they ban the console and not the gamertag, they expect people to re-buy the consoles because they make more revenue on XBL and MS points then they do on direct game sales unless the game is from a MS studio. -- Forum Posts:7500 |

 | Banning someone's modded Xbox is nothing new, MS did it with the original Xbox too. It's all over the terms of service and it's no secret that it's not allowed. If it was okay you'd be able to pick up a modded console at your local retailer instead of some non-descript website or back alley shop. So you lost $50? Hope you learned a lesson.
I remember the early days on the original Xbox when using Molotov cocktails on RS3 was popular. You may be having a blast but using a glitch or exploit via a modded console is a pain in the butt for everyone else playing online. Modders are trying to gain through deception and cheating what others earn through hard work and skill and I couldn't be happier to see them get the kick in the rear they so richly deserve. You have to deal with enough crap online without having to worry about some cheater using a modded console to gain an advantage.
If you want a modded console then there is a place for you: offline. You can still cheat at your game, but don't bring it on Xbox Live and ruin everyone else's day. |
