FLO TV-Why would anyone want this?

Why would anyone want this when they can buy a small HDTV for half this price and then get everything for free?

b/c you obviously cant take your HDTV around with you.

You buy it, and it runs off of ATT/Verizon.

Because this sends the signal from cell towers, so theres more places with signal. I cant get tv ota in my area without a giant antenna.

WRONG!

This does NOT use cell towers!

It sends the signal from 2-4 transmitters per metropolitan area on TV channels 55 and 56, which were bought by Qualcomm in an FCC auction- channel 55 nationwide and channel 56 in five of the USA's largest cities.

FLO stands for Forward Link Only-there is one way BROADCAST transmission only!
