I have been thru the presidents office many times, you put it mildly how they handle customer complaints they are always very rude and arrogant and do not have a clue how to answer customers questions.
I think they know that services Bellsouth offer are very outdated and over priced but yet no one is doing anything to solve this problem this company is bad to the bone.
Plus I do not think that AT&T OWNS ALL OF BELLSOUTH.
It is also strange that they have two headquarters.

Perhaps not. SBC bought AT&T, so it should be SBC practices you encounter. My last mildly discourteous contact with a "Bell" company was over twenty years ago; Pacific Bell Telephone. Never been treated rudely by SBC, or AT&T subsequent to its purchase by SBC.

If you are calling about Uverse, you are not getting into one of the (former) Bell South call centers. The old centers handle mostly regulated services like regular old dial tone.

Unregulated and enhanced services go to AT&T and they are not all that helpful.

I was not calling about Uverse. Trouble on the phone circuit goes to a different call center. In my case, what would have been a Pacific Bell center prior to 1996. PacBell was a bit haughty because they knew I did not have the wire maintenance plan. The later calls (last four years, or so) would have been SBC (until around February, 2006, when the logo on the bills changed to "AT&T") were more courteous. I only called DSL support once, but they (SBC) were pretty good, too.

And the new "AT&T" is just the old "SBC" in new livery.
