A $3000+ alienware sounds like massive overkill for the uses you describe. Tell us about your present machine's cpu, graphics, amount ram so we have a frame of reference.
Agreed...(edit: nevermind....i read it wrong. I thought you already had an alienware laptop).
Regardless, before you go spending money you don't have to, post the specs of your current pc/ laptop here. You may just need to clean up the OS & HD on your current laptop. The games on that site shouldn't be that cpu intensive...and also remember, alot of those type of games load data from the servers, so you're going to have some type of 'wait' regardless of what CPU you have, as it downloads the data.
