yeah it's old news, at least there's Starcraft yet another WoW expansion to pay full price for.

I don't either. But expecting Blizzard to pump out anything but more WoW at this point is simply unrealistic, IMO.

Two words: cash cow.

As long as they can keep the dollars pouring in from the millions of members with WoW accounts, their accountants and executives won't care about making any new projects.

I say you're wrong, but we're each entitled to our opinions.

You say that, but Diablo 3, SC 2 and the mystery project are already in the pipe. They're not so short sighted as to believe WoW will live forever, and as he said in the article...if and when it does die, wouldn't they rather lose those players to themselves??

They didn't get to where they are now by being short sited morons.

I understand it is just my opinion, but so far Blizzard hasn't exactly shown much to have me believe they care about anything other than keeping their cocaine money supply continuing to flow (read: WoW). And as a result, it's lead to far too many me-too MMOG's that usually turn me off and have me uninstalling before even the first seven days of a trial are done.

We were supposed to have a real KotOR 3 to finally conclude the story arcs for Revan and the Exile, but EA's jealousy of Blizzard's cash cow has pretty much ensured that it instead became cannibalized into The Old Republic instead. So by this note, even games it's not directly involved in have been affected by the "WoW syndrome" or however you wish to categorize it.

And D3 and SC2 have both been "in the pipe" for how long now? SC: Ghost was also in the pipe, and sounded just like "what the doctor ordered". But what happened to it? Stuff like this is why I feel that Blizzard isn't really going to put a proper effort on non-MMO projects anymore.
