This is long over due. We have a Mozilla forum, and in many ways Google is competing for the same audience. From Google Chrome browser to Gmail, just to name a few. The argument that Google has it's own forums and therefore we shouldn't have a Google forum here doesn't hold water when you think about Mozilla and Microsoft who have their own hugely popular support forums and yet have their own forums here.

Google is a company that has a huge impact on the internet, and its users. and there's no sign that they're growth is going to stop anytime soon. With their old, and new projects like Android, their FTTH plan, google voice, chrome, android OS, gmail, etc... i think somewhere to discuss "all things google" would be a valuable addition.

We already have a Cell Phone forum and Smart Phones are already covered in this forum. The forum isn't busy enough as it is to justify creating a sub forum for Smart Phones. |

agree but object, the cellphone forum we have is underused and filled with suggestions to look for help elsewhere.
So people do just that.until we change the way we react to cell phone threads, or more people show interest there is no need. |
