It's not a commercial, and hard to ignore when it's plastered right in the center of the screen in a huge box that's 1/3rd the vertical screen width.
For example, I was watching a program on the DVR. In the middle of the program that stupid big box came up saying my Recording finished. Like I could care less... I was watching something totally different. Besides, if you look at the front of the DVR, you can tell when the recording's finished, as the Red LED goes out. It wasn't as intrusive in A24. And duh the recordings finished, I can look it up in the My DVR Recordings list. It's not necessary. Does Tivo do this?
reply to The Q Yuck. I hope these various popups can be DISABLED. It's going to be very annoying having to either dismiss them or have them BLOCK what is going on on-screen.
