Re: Comcast On Screen Guide - Community Feature Wishlist

said by cypherstream:

Here is an on screen guide feature wish list that I've compiled from various suggestions across various online forums. Up top is a full description of the features, on the bottom is a multiple selection poll. Check off all features that are important to you. It could be all of them, it might only be half of them, or some of them. I'm hoping to get this thread out there and have Comcast officially come look at the results after enough people have voted.

Wow - you have a lot of free time on your hands...

As a user who pays over $210 a month to Comcast, I don't mind getting more backing evidence to provide to Comcast to improve their services. I only pay them $210 a month because Verizon Fios is not available in my area, and I have no view of the Dish/DirecTV sat's in the Southern Sky.

So stuck with the old school Atari based DVR, at least I can try to get some backing to get Comcast to work on the issues. They know their navigation isn't the best. Because of Tru2Way, and the Write Once, Deploy Many mentality, more resources will be able to be devoted to enhancing the capabilities of the on screen guide and application system. It's best to get a general consensus of what customers want. Comcast IS monitoring this thread. They may not participate in it, but they are checking the votes - that I do know (and have confirmation of).

Comcast doesn't create a website where customers can vote on new features or enhancements. Comcast doesn't have any way to solicit real world feedback from it's customers. If I can bridge that gap and *hopefully* improve the experience for not only myself, but for all other customers, then so be it. Someones got to set the wheels in motion.
