Cheyenne, WY | There is talk of this in the spend happy congress There is talk of raising the Gore Tax in order to expand broadband across the country, which is fine on the face of it but I am afraid it will stay like the Gore Tax is presently a pork barrel re-election slush fund with the money going to everywhere but where it is supposed to. I don't think broadband is a God given right, but having said this such a infrastructure is of great importance to the future economy of the United States. Just think what it would mean to a family man being able to tele commute and work for a company in another part of the country while living where he can raise a family in a good environment.
