Re: Town to photograph EVERY car that enters and leaves said by jaykaykay:. . it might turn out to be a good idea. How so?
From the cnet link:
quote: The strange thing is that Tiburon, a northern suburb of San Francisco, isn't exactly Oakland. It doesn't enjoy high crime figures. Indeed, some might say that the most criminal elements in the place are to be seen on the racks of its clothes stores.
Little to no crime. So this then smacks of pure nosiness, intrusiveness, and tracking merely for the sake of tracking. The comings and goings of citizens marked at each entry to or exit from the town. Why? There's no crime to speak of, so what's the purpose?
quote: The Tiburon police chief, Michael Cronin, told the Chronicle: "I think it makes the community safer."
Yeah, right. Makes it easier to keep track of citizens is what it does. Again, why? |

Because these obsessed freaks pursue total control, the same is valid for governments. -- Smokey's Security Forums »www.smokey-services.eu/forums/ Smokey's Security Weblog »smokeys.wordpress.com/ Official Jetico Inc.
