I agree completely with those assertions. Malware, trojans, viruses are still targeting Windows XP x86. Heck, even running Windows XP x64 is considerably safer than 32-bit XP.

I'm sure this will change as more people migrate to a 64-bit operating system, but for now, it's definitely safer.
