For example, discussing an email, or emails, and using navigation software. Plus if you want to discuss an MMS. We do this all the time shopping for junk. Seriously its a great feature, which most dont even know they have. |

BTW, Verizon's VZ navigator will work while making a phone call or looking at emails. --

I'm in NYC almost every day and some portions of the outer boroughs such as Queens and Brooklyn ATT drops out. |

 | reply to skj I am surfing the net a lot, checking email in the background, and even streaming pandora. Now if I'm doing any of those things on Verizon, I get no incoming call. So you may not care to talk and surf at the same time, but for those who don't send incoming calls to VM all the time, will not like the fact they can't surf the phone while waiting for a call, or worse yet, can't get a random incoming call (e.g. customer, emergency etc.) while surfing the net either. So, most people who are not doing the calling may never even know someone called unless they leave a voicemail (and you'll have to pay an extra $1.99 for visual voicemail on verizon too). |

That doesn't seem very likely, at least not in a "1XEV" 3G area. I have Sprint service, and I constantly stream Pandora ("high quality stream"), surf with Bolt Browser, and communicate using various text messages (BB Messenger, SMS, SKYPE IM+) depending on the person, and whenever someone calls, my phone rings and I have an opportunity to answer it. Same thing with the Navigation tool, the phone rings and gives me a choice to answer or ignore. If I decide to answer the call, as soon as I end it Pandora picks up right where it left off, as does my Navigation tool. The Navigation tool will even automatically reroute, if for some reason I missed a turn while talking on the phone.
I just tried it while listening to Pandora and reading this site in my phone's browser. I called using my office phone at my desk and my cell phone rang and showed an incoming call with my work caller ID info displayed.
This is with a BB Tour, which Verizon also sells, and I imagine that both would work the same way. It's not like you can't receive a call when you are using the data services. |

Its a REAL PAIN when an SMS or call comes in and drops the SSH / RDP session. This is used for Work... not fun. | Not music on the phones storage or card but streaming music is what he was talking about. Which isn't really what this is talking about.
It's more about the being able to use data and cell at the same time. Once LTE comes to VZ they will as well.
