 | IPhone... I really like the Iphone and ATT is Ok for me. I am connected to web at work and home via wifi and in both places I get an edge 5 bars of signal. So voice and data is OK for me. Most of my drive to and from, it is 3G coverage. Only occasional disconnects. Edge sucks for the internet and 3G sucks down the battery too fast. I'm not complaining. A few years ago, we did not even have a cell phone.
It sure would be nice if the IPhone could run more than one app at a time and knew how to work with flash. That is more frustrating than the service provider for me. |

 | Iphone multitasks just fine. you have to put down the apple kool-aid and jailbreak it though. I talk to the girlfriend with my handsfree and use the internet all the time with it, with multiple apps open if I need to. |

I talk to the girlfriend with my handsfree and use the internet all the time with it, with multiple apps open if I need to. It multitasks "just fine". I was an iPhone 3G for over a year. I loved it, hated AT&T with a passion though. Now I have a Palm Pre. While in some areas it's lacking, Palm will (if they want to remain a company..) improve on things and progress is being made. One area where the Pre kicks major ass though... multitasking. It's not "just fine", it's damn near perfect... Right out of the box.
What's silly is Apple could implement it so cleanly right now using Cover Flow as a means of organizing and closing open apps. I'm sure they will someday but for now Palm has beat them to the punch.
Now I'm just waiting for Palm to enable the GPU in my Pre so the wonderful UI runs a little smoother.
When I did have the iPhone, I do recall using simultaneous voice and data a few times. It's by no means something I rely on nor is it something I wish I currently had as I'm in WiFi spots more than I'm not. In fact, I'd say whenever I can use my phone, there's WiFi to be had a good portion of the time. Not really something AT&T should be flaunting as much as they are but.. what do I care. I'm not even a customer of theirs anymore. -- Follow me on twitter!
