really simple at&t just thinks of the here and now thats why they inked the deal for the iphone they wanted the cash now and same goes for there uverse stuff they want the customers now and dont care about the future
this is whats lead them to there currenct problem skipping on upgrades and trying to lock ppl in short term longer term they have truble in all areas
What is so wrong for a company with a business plan to push fiber into every neighborhood in their service area first and then extend it to the homes. IMHO it is a smart one that makes sense from a business stand point. Use your existing infrastructure for the last mile while paying for the upgrades to the feed side of the loop. Then you can upgrade the distribution side later. There is a lot of costs involved in doing this. Just read on this site for all of the problems that have had with placements of the cabinets,ROW,easements,etc... placing the fiber cables.
I for one would love to see any of you so called experts on the site take on all of the different government entities around this country. -- GO NOLES!!
