Re: Climate Change Scandal Erupts After Email Hack. said by nwrickert:This thread has been quiet, and the issue isn't getting much mention on the news media either. So maybe they didn't find a "smoking gun" after all. It's getting more traction on international and foreign papers then US/Cdn ones but I'm not surprised. Both Canada and the US have too much invested into it, especially with individuals like Suzuki. But apparently there is a congressional call for an investigation into it as well. |

Suzuki has no credibility with me as long as its OK for him to dump his crap in the ocean (check out sewage treatment in Victoria and Vancouver).
I wrote an article sometime ago about ocean levels are very near their lowest level ever here »Re: Sea level today is very near the lowest level ever attained
Frankly I have doubts that these scientist actually have a handle on how things work, so perhaps a clean start review (without the politics etc and out in the open) is in order here and this email bust might be what it takes to make it happen.
On Gabriola Island which is between Vancouver and Victoria there are some sandstone cliffs which have a rather interesting erosion which tends to indicate to me that ocean levels haven't done much over the last chunk of time in order to create this shoreline.

Has anyone been able to note a truly significant rise in the ocean levels (ie have the Maldives disappeared yet as the highest point in the Maldives is a wickedly high 8 ft above sea level, so by now at least half of the Maldives should be under water given the reported 'rapid' rise in ocean levels).
