The people commenting without understanding what's going on are the "'tards".

There is absolutely nothing stopping the makers of those cable boxes from shipping with a web browser that allows people to go on Youtube and watch Youtube content. What Youtube/Google is actually blocking are the box makers who are using the Youtube API without paying for a license. There is a huge difference between what you think is going on and what actually is, and I really don't think Google is in the wrong for blocking companies from using their non free software for free (protip: they're not blocking the companies from allowing their users to view the free videos)
