Only saw two here for my Windows 7 Ultimate system.

There are 34 optional languages packs and a SQL Server 2008 Online book listed in the Optional tab.

Thanks antdude. I got the four updates you listed for XP. I was offered three updates for Vista - the roots certificate update wasn't included. When I checked at the download center, it said the supporting system was XP.

Sincerely, Libra

Anyone know why these were out-of-cycle?
They must be "critical", coming down as Automatic Updates.

Microsoft XML Core Services 6.0 Service Pack 2
I had additional updates that you didn't have for XP? Perhaps it has something to fo with XP64 and not XP32.

I did not have a root certificate update on my Vista machine or laptop. I did have one on the XP Pro and the XP Home machines.

According to this link »support.microsoft.com/kb/973686
that update is ment for XP SP2 systems and is why it didn't apply to my XP Pro SP3 and XP Home SP3 systems.

quote:
Prerequisites
To apply this update, you must have MSXML 6.0, MSXML 6.0 Service Pack 1 (SP1), or MSXML 6.0 Service Pack 2 (SP2) installed on one of the following operating systems:
Windows Server 2003 SP2
Windows XP SP2
Note The package will upgrade the Msxml6.dll file to be used on the latest version of MSXML 6.0 SP2. This upgrade occurs when MSXML 6.0, MSXML 6.0 SP1, or MSXML 6.0 SP2 is installed on the computer.

XP Home SP3 here. I noticed with those latest updates. When my pc loads to the welcome screen in XP. My hd makes grinding noises for about 10 seconds. Never done this before until these new updates. Happening to any one else?
