T-Mobile is great!

I've actually been talking on my phone and doing Google Maps on my T-Mobile myTouch 3G with Google on the robust T-mobile 3G network.

It's pretty fast and about to get faster with HSPA+. Soon T-Mobile will have the fastest nationwide 3G network.

Re: T-Mobile is great!

its just too bad that it isn't as nationwide as verizon. it is faster yes, but its not in as many places.. at least they don't try to mislead their customers with this.

In only a fraction of the USA
Where they are lagging behind the big 3 as usual.

Yeah, I see Verizon and AT&T deploying HSPA+ (21Mbps) speeds right now too. LOL.

Re: T-Mobile is great!

What good is is 21mbps if you walk 2 minutes and are back to edge lol.
That's where T-Mobile is right now.

As T-Mobile has fresh AWS spectrum to use, I suspect that HSPA+ will be run to the max (they have limited PCS GSM capacity + AWS 3G).

AT&T/VZW will be pushing AWS + 700MHz for 4G on data cards, and I seriously doubt that handsets will have much use beyond 7.2

Sprint has its own EVDO 3G / WiMAX 4G.

Personally, if I wasn't on AT&T for cheap (corp discount), I'd be using t-Mobile.

And all of Verizon is about to get faster also with their upgrades. I think the last I read/heard was a full switch on across their entire market next year. When/if that happen you will be in the same boat with T-Mobile as you are right now.

I did that on my Sprint Hero HTC. But it may have been cheating since it was going WiFi through my home network.
I'll have to redo that test using the EVDO another time.
I was on the phone with a friend and he want to know what was happing in the bar for this weekend. So I put him on speakerphone and went to the bar's website while talking to him.

BTW here is a speedtest through my WiFi
