Re: Problems with Catalyst Control Center I don't know what more there is that I could say for you and your issue, but I had the same problem with ATi in the past, and it's one reason I came to be afraid everytime there is a newer version driver from them when I primarily had a Radeon card in my system.
KotOR alone became a one year ordeal for me back in '04, and then when they finally released a fixed driver, only to break it again in the very next month's release. 
You may just have to stick with the 9.5 driver and keep a copy of it around, and basically play driver hockey until you get a newer, fixed release.
