dezmoduo join:2002-11-28 Oakland Gardens, NY | [Newsgroups] Article not found issue After a few years of using Grabit to access my Giganews account, I'm getting more than my share of "article not found" errors. I recently downgraded my account from 25GB to 5 GB, because I wasn't downloading as much as in the past, but would grab a file now and again. I have a fios connection,(cable prior to that) and I've never been throttled or restricted. I don't have that kind of traffic IMHO. Recently I put my home server up as a file sharer to a few passworded people, but the ports used aren't conflicting. Kinda baffled, I put in a service ticket to Giganews. Any suggestions what I could look for? I uninstalled/reinstalled Grabit, same result. |

| reply to dezmoduo Just a suggestion, but since your usage is predictable (ie, you know more or less the max you are going to download each month), have you considered block accounts? You do not have the monthly bill (billed once off, until used)...plus you do not have the "use it or lose it" type of issue that you are faced with each month with your monthly plan. -- Block Accounts | UseNet Now |
