However the entry also notes you can have as many as 128 players around you at any time. Maybe I'm nostalgic here, but I could've sworn Planetside had more people in the larger battles.
Planetside could in theory have 150vs150vs150. and i do infact remember an "Alamo" or two at places like the Gunuku Dropship Center that had all three factions going for it with full population caps. PS had huge battles so you remember correctly, i rememer a few fights where one could see 10+ galaxies doing drop runs.
