"When you think of the change, look at Hulu and the dialogue and debate, and you say, O.K. this is in for the next eight to twelve months and in two years it won't matter because the world will have moved on."
Speaking at the Paley Center as part of an event hosted by CNBC's David Faber, Seidenberg referenced a project called Sixth Sense which links a mini-projector with a cellphone and allows consumers to watch TV on any surface as an example of how fast technology changes the game. Hulu, or a competitor, will be around for longer than Seidenberg thinks because video is not going away. HOW it is delivered can change, but the content will need to be available from somewhere.
As far as "Sixth Sense" is concerned, it really isn't being seen as a video delivery system. It is a more interactive way to access and provide data to the cloud: »gizmodo.com/5167790/sixth-sense-···-forever -- My BLOG .. .. Internet News .. .. My Web Page

Please. Ok content on cell phone looks like crap. Blowing it up will make it look even crappier. Oh by the way considering how much cell providers overcharge for bandwidth I'm not sure how he thinks this is better than Hulu. |

I'm calling it now and I'd put my money on Netflix as the big winner in content delivery in the foreseeable future. If I was running Netflix, I'd be looking into a Hulu-like model to add newer content to their already extensive video streaming.
The big ISPs that also provide content are big, slow and dumb. They will drop the ball and Netflix will be a major factor in turning the ISPs into the dumb pipes they rightfully should be. |

So now with your new smart phone which will last about a day with the current batteries, you can project TV shows barely bright enough to see and in a tiny little size on the back seat of a bus or the wall. Yes that will be so awesome, your battery will now last 2-3 hrs. |

Phone with video out have been around for years »www.phonescoop.com/phones/phone.php?p=1312 But to run an arc bulb or multiwatt LED in a cellphone? The phone better come with a cold fusion reactor in the battery bay. |

From description, I assume that the projector device has its own batteries. That would still put a strain on cellphone battery to stream a video wirelessly for a 2 hr movie. |
