1. Try to connect with no encryption on either end. If that works, then it's likely a password issue. 2. Try to connect with WEP with a very simple password like newyork or 1234567890 if using hex. 3. If the previous two suggestions work, then it's a password issue and it's likely to be the "space" that you mentioned.
I've had issues personally trying to use spaces in a password using WPA.
