Even worse than the lousy customer service is the persistent inaccurate and sporadic billing which should defeat any efforts that FairPoint makes to repair their non-existent "image".
They still try to auto debit my checking account every month- despite the fact I cancelled that and pay them from a different account- and they still send me nasty-grams when the auto debit "bounces".
(I actually had to have the bank stop all FairPoint transactions to get 'em to quit taking money out of my account, and now have to use another bank to pay them.)
It isn't worth trying to discuss it with them... there is no one home there that seems able to fix it. I just keep paying the bill, and they just keep piling on the notices. Whatever...
