I doubt they'd of slipped in with guns etc on them, but what if they had some toxic poison or biological agent? It's surprising this breach occurred. That's sort of what I'm getting at. What did happen wasn't the end of the world. Nothing "bad" happened, except two nutjobs had the balls to crash the best party. With that said, it could have been much worse.
It's extremely surprising that this breach occurred. If all it takes is a little bit of confidence and swagger, along with a SS mistake to get into a White House function, something needs to be changed.
Who's going to be the next one to try something like this? Someone else who wants 15 mins of fame.
