At one time I held out great hope for firewire. I ordered it on all our PC's. It's never been used.
I have it on all my PCs, and it's being used.
I use it for a video camera and my external optical drives. For the latter, I actually had problems with USB -- it was occasionally bluescreening my PC when I was ripping DVDs. -- And the winner is:
