Re: [HELP] Port Forward (or DMZ) with RV042 So I just logged into a network using the same RV042 router and setup port forwarding without any issue. The difference is that the network that I got functioning properly does not use a comcast SMC8014 gateway (it has cat5 run from the outside pole directly into the RV042 - verizon fios).
Sooooo this helps me a tiny bit in the sense that the issue most likely lies in the relationship between the comcast SMC8014 and the RV042. The comcast gateway has an IP of 10.1.10.1 and the RV042 is at 192.168.0.1. The comcast gateway does have DMZ and Port Forwarding settings but nothing can be configured because the RV042 and all LAN PC's are on another subnet.
I would change the comcast gateway IP to 192.168.0.2 to get them on the same subnet - but I feel like there is another way.
Any help? |
