| The Internet is never neutral  I tried to post this response to the Sun-Sentinel's article on their website but seemed to be blocked.
Obviously the management of the Sun Sentinel forgets why the Interstate Commerce Commission was created in 1887. Read this article in Wikipedia at:

The following occurred shortly before the founding of the ICC in 1887.
"Some behavior was presumably less common; the reporter Charles Edward Russell claimed that the railroad that served his hometown had refused to ship newsprint to a newspaper editor because the editor had attacked the railroad in print."
I do not want the last mile internet service providers to decide which website I can access either through a shakedown of the website operators demanding fees or blocking a company like Netflix or Vonage because they compete against a cable companies pay per view service or a telephone companies long distance service.
I presume that the Sun-Sentinel would approve of their ISP blocking access to one of their news feeds because the news service carries stories critical of the ISP. |
