Re: How to download many torrents?

You could put DD-WRT on your router, and if you use Google then you can find one of the hundreds of tutorials on how to properly configure your DD-WRT router for torrents. That should solve your problem.

You should take a peek at »www.pfsense.com/ I have a old BEFW11S4 v4, and that wireless router was horrible. What you could do is get a old Computer, put 3 N.I.C.s (network Interface Cards) in it and put a copy of pfSense on it. That would run beautifully for what your trying to do. Large state tables - State table entries require about 1 KB of RAM each. The default state table, when full at 10,000 entries, takes up a little less than 10 MB RAM. For large environments requiring state tables with hundreds of thousands of connections, ensure adequate RAM is available.
1 State table entry = 1 open connection. With the 3 ethernet ports you could plug in your old router, plug in your torrent Computer, and plug in your internet connection. Also »Need a GREAT wireless Router - Stream & Torrents might be helpful.
May I inquire as to what type of internet connection you have?
