Please god I hope not. Who ever came up with those and decided to roll them out at every single commercial break should be euthanized for just the simple fact of pure annoyance despite what they were trying to convey.

That's exactly what they want to happen. You'll remember the ad because you're annoyed by it.
I'll remember the ad, but it sure won't make me want to use their network. Just the opposite.

It isn't like AT&T is a company that NEEDS name recognition. For a company needing name recognition, an irritating ad may help them. But AT&T only hurts themselves with irritating ads.
