In fairness to "local" lawmakers, the municipal governments that I spoke with here in SE WI were opposed, and I think one of them said outright that AT&T had bought themselves this law in Madison. Regardless, it was totally predictable, business as usual.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinal had an article yesterday about this. It mentioned that there was a bill from District Assembly Representative Gary Heb was going arround to bring back some consumer protections..
