 | Performance and availability While Pioneer Telephone and internet has had some problems they have not had anymore then any other internet provider who is trying to keep up with the times and technology. Most of the consumer problems that I checked out for myself from their complaint data base was not the fault of Pioneer at all, but a problem on the consumers end. Ranging from bad cables to low bandwidth caused by splitting their bandwidth with a router between several computers in their homes to simple cable issues caused by accidental tripping breaking or ruining the cables, kids and or pets. Pioneer has tried to keep up with the times and technologies that come out daily. One of the new service speeds for internet is a 6mb or 6000 service that is very fast. However, remember that few sites download stream or anything else at this speed so it is basically a waste for most surfing consumers unless you have a specific that it can be justified using. For example; if all a website can let you have is 400kbs stream then what good is having a 6mb connection? You could have downloaded as fast as possible with their 1.5 or 1500 service. It is unfortunate that in Kingfisher county Oklahoma other Internet providers are not allowed and there is basically a monopoly on Internet service by Pioneer. Choice would be nice! If a person is having a problem with their Pioneer telephone or their internet service and are complaining about it but not doing anything about it is worthless and no one can help you. The people of Pioneer are really dedicated to having their customers satisfied. Try to contact the IT department, or tech line that they have for you to call. There is a local and toll free number. You might be surprised to find how helpful as well as what length they are willing to go to keep you happy and you connection running perfect. No one can make you happy if all you do is blog bad comments about them and never try and resolve the issue that has you bad mouthing them. A number of variables can and will effect the line quality, the speed and performance of your connection to Pioneer. All cables and wiring must be in good shape and working order or there will be issues. It also must be hooked up correctly. However, before calling them make sure that what ever is wrong isn't something basic that you have missed on your end -- such as poor cable, or a bad phone line cord to your modem that you know your kids or you have damaged either tripp0ing over it or pulling on it until it is defective. These things are not the fault of Pioneer or any other provider. That one is on you!! When you call for technical help and to voice your concerns remember that a kiss on the cheek goes much farther then a slap in the face. No one likes a problem customer with a bad attitude, and all of Pioneers customer service people and technicians will go to great lengths to make the problem go away including rude, critical and abusive customers that no matter what they do they cannot please. Also remember that there is a point that the complaint becomes a customer abusing Pioneer and their employee's and they do not have to endure this and can decide to terminate the call if you become abusive! I have had a number of years experience and dealings over the years with different providers, Technicians and people in this business and I would rate Pioneer to be as good as any top provider is. They are no different then any other technical service that has to iron out the bugs in any changing technology for the consumer to have a reliable service.
