This makes me wonder now. I signed up for 10Mbps service ( during the summer ) and no mention of needing a new modem. The tech stopped by and checked the outside box and called in saying to drop the speed to 5Mbps. I think I have 6Mbps by checking my modem stats ( 6368 kBits down 896 kBits up ). »192.168.1.1/transtat.htm
I think everything over 3 Mb is all billed the same now. They sell it as whatever your line will sustain up to 10. If you can post your transceiver stats, this will give the techs a clue if you are able to obtain a higher rate.
