| reply to Nightfall I had better experience before AT&T took over Bellsouth. As of late, my AT&T DSL has been acting up. DNS timeouts, low thruput, dropped connections, etc. Usually a power cycle of the modem resolves the problem. I never had these issues as frequently now as I did when it was just BellSouth. Comcast is my other option and I'm seriously considering going with them. Unfortunately, they are a small subsidiary of Comcast. -- I gave up drinking and eating bad food. And in 14 days, I had lost 2 weeks. |

| Ok so maybe subsidiary was the wrong choice of words. The history of our cable company: Riverlands Cable-->Time Warner Cable-->Comcast out of Houma.
I feel like we are the bastard stepchild of Comcast. We have limited HD channels (20 with at least 5-8 not being worth a damn, IMHO). It wasn't until last year that we got Fox on HD. I had to go OTA to get the SuperBowl in HD 2 years ago. To my knowledge our Comcast is just stuck smack in the middle of a Cox (New Orleans/Baton Rouge) & Charter (Northshore) market. We do have a small local cable company, but their offerings are just as mediocre. -- I gave up drinking and eating bad food. And in 14 days, I had lost 2 weeks. |
